Recently Shareefa Orrie (Head of School, 2024), Hannah Hill (RCL, 2024) and Ms Sjaene van Wyk attended a Leadership breakfast hosted at Hoërskool Jan van Riebeeck.
‘Today we had the pleasure of attending a leadership breakfast at Hoërskool Jan van Riebeeck. We were greeted warmly by their new leaders after which we were given the opportunity to network at our respective tables with the other schools attending. During this we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast and a beautiful setting.
The guest speaker, popular KykNet presenter Kabous Meiring was introduced and shared a thought provoking speech. She encouraged open discussions about common issues that our schools shared and how to tackle them. Additionally, she emphasised the importance of embracing the uniqueness of each school and promoting inclusivity in all aspects of life.
The new Jan van Riebeeck leaders provided some words of inspiration for the audience to carry through the new year. The friendly atmosphere and motivational speeches made this a truly remarkable experience which we thoroughly enjoyed.
