On 14 October, the WGHS Muslim Students’ Association hosted a Mother-Daughter Workshop with an incredible guest speaker, Madiegah Jacobs, as part of Charity Week. Charity Week is an initiative run by Islamic Relief in which different organizations, institutions, and MSAs host various events to raise funds for the organization. The ultimate goal of Charity Week is to unite people across the globe. This year, Charity Week involves participation from 8 countries and over 500 institutions, and we are deeply honored to be a part of this phenomenal initiative once again.

During our workshop, we engaged in various therapeutic and bonding activities for mothers and daughters. The workshop explored the significant bond between a mother and her daughter, emphasizing the importance of connection. One of the highlights of the event was the “back-to-back drawing” activity, where one participant described a picture, and the other had to draw it. These activities sparked meaningful conversations and created beautiful memories.
