The WGHS Cultural Pillar was honoured to be invited to perform at The Grove Primary School’s Social Event. This special gathering dates back to 1969, and is an integral part of the school’s outreach programme, led by dedicated parents. Their efforts include cooking and providing transportation for seniors from various homes, such as Huis Luckoff, Musgrave Park, Huis Nuweland, Mothhaven, as well as those living independently or with family members.    Grade 7 of  learners of The Grove Primary School, took charge of setting tables and serving three-course meals to the guests. Fundraising activities contribute to covering the costs of the meals and ensuring a diverse range of entertainment for the evening.

Wynberg Girls’ High Cultural Pillar received a gracious invitation to entertain the elderly attendees where we showcased a variety of musical performances, featuring the dance society, orchestra, jazz band, sax ensemble, flute ensemble, piano, and vocal soloist.  The heartfelt appreciation expressed by many elders was truly touching, and we were honored to have contributed to making their dinner a memorable and enjoyable evening. A sincere thank you to Grove Primary School for welcoming us with open arms!
