Support Staff Appreciation Concert
hosted by the Cultural and Service Pillars
On the 2nd of November, the Cultural and Service Pillar hosted a teatime concert for the incredible WGHS Support Staff Team. The concert was a special occasion to pay tribute to the support staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that our school is a safe, clean, and happy environment for our students, educators, and visitors. The Cultural Pillar entertained our guests of honour through amazing performances of dance, music and poetry, by the Ubuntu Choir, Vocal Ensemble, Marimba Band, Jazz Band, Umjaivo, the Dance Society and our Soloists, Lunabile Veto and Mida Dolopi. The Service Pillar collected over 550 colourful handwritten notes from our learners, which included short messages of thanks and appreciation dedicated to our fantastic support staff. The learners presented gifts of appreciation to the support staff to highlight the school’s gratitude for their hard work. We also extended a special thank you to Miss Nonyongo for her many years of service to Wynberg Girls’ High School and her dedication to the Wynberg family. Thank you!
