Over the weekend of 16-18 September, WGHS participated in the Reddam Mackenzie Cup Water Polo Tournament.

For the first time in Wynberg history, we made it, not only to the quarter-finals, but to the semi-finals! After months of pre-season training to prepare us for the tournament, we are very proud of achieving fourth place overall, out of the ten participating teams. Every person played with heart and soul, and at points even endured through pain and injuries to see their team succeed. We were also incredibly proud that our captain, Jo William, our brand new, Grade 9 goalkeeper, Naledi Kaseya, as well as Sarah Bray were chosen for the tournament team. A big thank you to the parents for their relentless support poolside and to coach, Chad Gabriels, for the countless hours he has put in to see the team reach new heights.

Well done, we are extremely proud of you!

Thanks to Ms Muir for the report.
