Last Saturday, our All Girls' Festival Netball squad and the U14A team took part in the Curro Somerset West Netball Tournament 2024.  Both teams competed against the following schools: Meridian Pinehurst, Curro Somerset West, Harry Gwala, Curro Sandowns and Zola Business School.

Our U14 team competed in an U16 tournament and secured a commendable 3rd position overall.

Although our All Girls' team suffered one defeat against Zola Business School, they emerged victorious in all other matches. Despite missing three players, they faced ZBS once more in the final and clinched a decisive victory.

Our girls exhibited dominance throughout, culminating in a final score of 15-7 in favour of WGHS.

Ubuntu Society Cultural Evening

On 20 April, the hall was filled with song, dance, laughter, and most importantly culture, as the Ubuntu Society hosted their annual cultural evening, themed 'buyela ezincanjini' - back to our roots.

Our dynamic MC duo, Hailey Hawkes and social media influencer Zuki Lamani, captivated the audience, as they introduced the evening's performances, including cultural dances, songs, and poetry.

Thank you to all involved, and to the participating schools and performers. It was a night to remember!
